The Farm is closed at this time of year, but we will open for U-Pick in mid-July. We do participate at the Umpqua Valley Farmers' Market on a year round basis. UVFM is located at the First United Methodist Church, 1771 West Harvard Ave., Roseburg, OR 97471. Visit our booth on Saturdays, from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. We also participate at the following Farmers' Markets when they open: Coos Bay Farmers' Market; Wednesdays, from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Central Avenue; May thru October Old Town Marketplace Bandon; Fridays, from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at 250 First Street; May thru mid-December Coos Bay Winter Farmers' Market; Wednesdays, from 10 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Coos History Museum & Maritime Collection, 1210 North Front Street, November thru April. We post pictures, information that pertains to our U-Pick, as well as many details for our Farmers' Market customers. 2016 is our 42nd year of growing and selling farm-fresh fruits and vegetables! We are glad that our son, Glen, his wife, Wendy, and their daughters Ashlynn and Kylie, have joined our farming endeavors. We welcome the addition of the 3rd and 4th generations to the Lehne Farm! The entire Lehne family places great value on our Farm, and we will continue to carefully manage its quality of produce, productivity, and long-term sustainability. We view ourselves as stewards of a natural resource. The Norm Lehne Garden and Orchards, LLC is primarily a U-Pick farm in beautiful Garden Valley. Just a few miles outside of Roseburg, Oregon, customers take a leisurely drive into the country to pick a wide variety of farm-fresh, vine-ripe produce. Upon arrival customers find that the Garden is carefully maintained to be as weed free as possible. The Orchard is pruned so that ladders are not needed for picking the fruit. In addition, we are proud to be one of the only farms to use pure well water as the only source for irrigation. And we do not grow any GMO (Genetically Modified) crops. Many customers report that picking produce at our farm is a wonderful stress-reducing activity in our modern fast paced society. A family-friendly experience, children can also have a hands-on outing to learn about fresh produce. Our U-Pick harvest season usually begins in mid-July and runs through October. We grow apples, beans, beets, cabbage, corn, cucumbers, eggplant, pears, peppers (Bell & several varieties of hot peppers), summer squash, winter squash, tomatoes, melons, watermelons, and more.
