We are a local farm that raises heritage breed Bronze and Royal Palm turkeys, Delaware chickens, Dorper sheep, and Dexter and Jersey cows. We sell vegetables, small fruits, fresh turmeric, chicken and duck eggs, pecans and pecan treats at the farm and weekly at the Waxhaw Farmers Market.
Our goal is a sustainable farm, producing all of our food needs and thus being a model for anyone interested in learning this lifestyle. It is not as simple as the magazines tell you!
We have used poly row cover in the vegetable garden for several years, and have 2 Seasonal High Tunnels for season extension and winter cool weather crops. This allows for produce availability year round. Let us know your interest. It is satisfying to be a local foods grower in North Carolina!
