Dry Dock Farm is 3 acres of rich river bottom land, near the Village of Silex, This is our 6th season doing our CSA. We grow Heirloom vegetables( for their great flavor), herbs, flowers, bedding plants, We grow bio-intensive,(transitioning to Biodynamic) no pesticides, herbicides, no GMO seeds, or artificial fertilizers on our raised beds, We use cover crops, compost, natural minerals and worm castings to enrich our garden. " We work with nature not against it". Our Heirloom tomatoes are bursting with that old time "picked from Grandma's garden flavor;. We raise Heritage chickens, turkeys, geese and assorted other poultry. Our birds are raised on pasture, with fresh air and sunshine, to provide you with the best tasting farm fresh eggs.
Our CSA will run for 22 weeks, from May thru October. You will receive a share of 6 to 8 vegetable varieties,(Each Vegetable is a serving for 4) Fresh herbs, and 1 dozen farm fresh eggs.. We will also include seasonal fruit from other local farms, including blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, grapes, plums, apples, peaches and pears at no additional cost. We include a weekly newsletter with farm news, recipes, herb tips and vegetable storage helps for the delivery that week.
We will deliver to your door (St. Louis, St. Louis County, St. Charles & Lincoln County areas. If outside these areas special arrangements are available) a furnished cooler with ice pack, to maintain the fresh picked flavor of our vegetables. We will have available for purchase from local farms, Free Range chickens, Antibiotic, Hormone Free Pork, Grass Fed Beef, Amish made jams &. jellies, raw honey, pickled items, Goat Milk Soap, Organic wheat berries and flour, Their products can be ordered and delivered with your shares.
We will also have winter monthly shares available this season that will include, potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, root veggies, herbs, seasonal greens and fresh eggs. Plus our other value added farmers products.
