The Dandridge Farmers Market is open to all farmers and gardeners in Jefferson and surrounding counties--it is for locally grown and not resale items. An application form is found on our website and for any questions please contact us.
We encourage our vendors to educate our customers on the value of local, fresh foods, particularly their nutritional value. Vendors sell local honey, all varieties of vegetables and fruits, eggs, molasses and our season runs June through October. We are open on Saturdays from 8am until noon.
The market occasionally sponsors local events such as having a music craft demonstrations, and other special events. This week we are featuring through a local drugstore free diabetes testing.
The market is located in the heart of the Dandridge Historic District. We encourage our customers to explore one of the oldest towns in East Tennessee-- after shopping at the market, have lunch, tour the town and Douglas Lake, visit our local merchants, and have a wonderful get-a-way.
The Dandridge Community Trust, our certified Main Street program, is the nonprofit organization that manages the market. It is supported by the UT Extension Service, the Town of Dandridge, Farm Bureau, Farm Credit, and the Jefferson County Farmers Coop. This year we are also supported by a TAEP grant from the Tennessee Dept. of Agriculture.
