The Clark Fork River Market was founded by the nonprofit environmental group the Clark Fork Coalition and members of the Missoula community in 2004. The market opens its season on the first Saturday in May, and wraps up the season on the third Saturday in October. Hours are 8am to 1pm, Saturdays. The market is held in downtown Missoula, under the Higgins Bridge just east of Caras Park and alongside the Clark Fork River. Products available at the market include local grass fed beef, bison, lamb, pork, dairy products, eggs, local fruits, melons, berries, mushrooms, honey, wool products, jams, baked goods, hot lunch from local chefs and more. Customers can enjoy live music from 11am to 1pm. Credit cards, debit cards and EBT food stamp cards accepted. Nonprofit groups are welcome to contact the market regarding opportunities to set up tables and demonstrations at the market.
