Tikvat Israel CSA partners with Calvert Farm of Cecil County, Maryland, providing each share member with a weekly box of farm fresh, locally grown, seasonal vegetables. The fruit is either organic, organically grown, or grown using IPM (Integrated Pest Management). Non-organic apples and peaches may also be included.
Sign-up can be for any of the following seasons: Winter, Spring/Summer, or Fall. Free-range eggs are optional. Mushrooms are optional in the Fall. You may participate in food-related activities as well as share recipes and comments via an email group or our Facebook page. A free Newsletter is distributed electronically from Calvert Farm.

My family joined the CSA last year for both the spring/summer and fall seasons. We also received a dozen eggs every week. (The eggs are produced by free-range hens who have been specially segregated from the roosters just for our group - so the eggs won't be fertilized and rendered non-kosher).<... [more]

We are an established CSA, founded in 2008 and operating out of synagogue Tikvat Israel in Rockville, Maryland. Membership is open to all. If you join our CSA, farmer Pam Stegall of Calvert Farm (Cecil County, Maryland) will send you a weekly box of the best produce she and several other small family farms have to offer.
