We are thrilled to start a new year with endless opportunity to provide the Red River Valley with local organically grown produce. Because we had phenomenal results last season, we hope to expand our ability to bring fresh vegetables, fruits, and herbs to our shareholders, local restaurants, markets, grocery stores, homeless shelters, and food banks this season.
Our CSA shareholders are provided with 20 weeks of fresh seasonal produce. We have several drop off points where your full or half bushel shares can be picked up once a week from Fargo-Moorhead, and Detroit Lakes locations. We encourage our shareholders to come to the farm for a tour, you are always welcome and there will be several organized farm events for you to join us and see how organic farming works. Starting from seed, to the fresh produce you use in your kitchen everyday.
Preferably restaurants / markets should contact us early so we can plant according to what types of produce you would like, and what quantities are needed weekly. We also grow specialty items for those of you that like to surprise your costumers.
Internship is something new and exciting that will be added to our farm this year. Now having 14 acres we are looking for paid interns for part or all of the 2012 season.
Although part of our land is transitional and not certified organic until 2014, our practices meet or exceed certified organic standards. We take the quality of our produce very seriously, it is important to us to provide the most nutritional produce that we can.
By becoming a shareholder with Kragnes Family Farms we will strive to bring you a cornucopia of fresh produce each week, teach you more about the food you are consuming and where it came from, and save you some money with the advantage of purchasing locally grown produce in bulk. Last season our shareholders saved about 50% on all of the produce they recieved in there share boxes!
If you are interested in becoming a shareholder with Kragnes Family Farms or would like to learn more about our internships please contact Tyne or visit our website.
