Bittersweet Farm is a small-scale, diversified family farm in the St. Lawrence River Valley. We have a little bit of almost everything: chickens for meat and eggs, Tamworth hogs, Scotch Highland cattle, St Croix sheep, vegetables, herbs, perennials, fruits and greenhouse transplants. We have developed a line of value-added products, such as homemade jams, teas, caramels and herb mixes. We specialize in no-till, soil building techniques and are committed to enhancing and healing our communal ecology. We use regenerative practices, such as rainwater collection, native species restoration and endangered habitat creation. We offer the county's only non-monetary CSA, where members participate and learn on the farm each week in exchange for a farm share. Interested parties can join the CSA at any time between May and October. We also sell at the Canton Farmers' Market on Fridays and from our farmstand every day. We welcome visitors! We often give tours and lectures to student groups and welcome volunteers. Come, learn, share and explore the world of agroecology and delectable food with us.
