Henderson County Tailgate Market is one of the oldest open air markets in Western North Carolina. This unique Saturday morning market has a festival feel in the heart of downtown Hendersonville. All vendors are county growers, who operate small family farms in Henderson County. Throughout the years the Market has developed a reputation for quality, high-value specialty crops and nursery stock items. You can find beautiful annual flowers, perennials, native plants and shrubs, and trees for your garden. To brighten up your house or for a wonderful gift for a loved one fresh cut flowers are also available. During the spring and summer you will find local bumper crops of fruits, vegetables and flowers. Don't forget the wonderful meats Angus beef, natural raised pork and free-range chicken. Whether you are looking for organics herbs or vegetables starts, local apples and peaches, variety of different eggs, fresh baked breads and cookies, local beef, or even a Japanese maple, you can find it here. Bring your basket or wagon and shop with us at county's parking lot at 100 N. King Street from 7 am till 12 pm, every Saturday. Open early spring to late fall and the market is handicap accessible.
