Our small diversified farm located in East Central, IL is committed to natural and sustainable land management practices. Rooted in a perennial polyculture our farm fixes its own nitrogen and builds its own soils. High levels of biodiversity protect our farm from stochastic events such as disease and pest outbreaks, and increase drought and heat resilience. Managing our farm as an integrated permaculture system allows us to refrain not only from inorganic pesticides but also hazardous organic chemicals. Our bees and crops will testify to the benefits of ecomimcry. Our produce is picked within 24hrs of delivery and packaged in biodegradable containers made of cellulose and manufactured with wind energy. Transportation is carbon offset. Our packaging reduces waste, increases convenience, and ensures your produce will remain fresh and attractive for as long as possible; without jeopardizing the environment. Our packaging will not pollute the oceans or landfills. With a special affection for heirloom, rare, and exotic varieties, we will introduce your family to new foods while continuing to provide yummy old standards. We also take requests! People are welcome to visit, spend time on the farm, and work the fields; helping to feed themselves and others.
