Monroe Organic Farms

Monroe Organic Farm is the oldest organic farm in Colorado. In 1936, our family established the Monroe homestead in Weld County, and we have been growing organic produce ever since! We see ourselves as caretakers of this land that we have come to know like a cherished family member. Our farming philosophy emphasizes taste over size and appearance. We constantly try new and unique varieties, including heirlooms, to find the best tasting vegetables our farm can produce. In 1993, we organized as a community-supported agriculture (CSA) project because we wanted to work closely with people who appreciate our farming philosophy. As part of the farm diversity we have pastured raised pork, beef, and lamb. Members have the option to purchase eastern plains honey and western slope fruit produced by a local beekeeper and orchardist.
