Schaefer's Farm Market is owned and operated by fifth and sixth-generation family farmers that take pride in the great tasting, high quality produce that we serve to our customers on a year-round basis. Approximately 30 acres of our family farm is planted in produce each year, along with many hi-tunnels and greenhouses. Nearly 40 different fruits and vegetables are grown on the farm, along with a variety of other crops.
Most of our fruit and vegetables are hybrid varieties. Hybrids have the ability to fight plant diseases and produce fruit in adverse weather conditions without the use of chemicals. All while providing the great flavor and quality you expect.
Flavor and nutrition all begins with healthy soil, which is what our farm is made of. Our growing practices, which include the use of cover crops, compost, and proper fertilization, have helped us maintain our soil health.

U-Pick Strawberry Season is 2-3 weeks from late May to early June, depending on the growing season. Hours for u-pick are posted on our Facebook page during the season, but calling ahead is recommended, especially in the case of bad weather/rain.

Schaefer’s Farm Market is owned and operated by fifth-generation farmers, Tony and Ruth Ann Schaefer, along with two of their daughters, Elizabeth and Sara. The Schaefer family has been farming for generations, raising livestock and grain crops. In 2016, Elizabeth took that legacy in a new direction when she started the farm market, expanding the family’s focus to include specialty crops and fresh, locally grown produce. Together, the Schaefer’s remain dedicated to honest farming, hard work, and providing the very best from their fields to your table.
