Killarney Farm is a diversified small farm surrounded by national forest one hour east of Coeur d'Alene. Our stewardship emphasizes building and maintaining soil fertility through the use of green manure crops and aged animal manures. We practice crop rotation, drip irrigation, mulching, succession planting and season extension. Killarney Farm produce has been CERTIFIED ORGANIC since 1991. We grow a wide assortment of crops including garlic, onions, many greens, potatoes, carrots, beets, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, squash, walnuts, bedding plants in the spring. We also keep a flock of laying hens and alpine dairy goats. Our produce is available at the Kootenai County Farmers' Markets [both days and locations] throughout the season. We offer apprenticeship positions. Killarney Farm is off the grid.
