Bear Butte Gardens is situated just 5 miles northeast of Sturgis between a great expanse of prairie and the beautiful Black Hills. In the 27 years the Groseks have lived on this land they have respected the native grasses and vegetation by utilizing natural means of weed control and careful grazing management. The gardens, hay land, grazing, eggs, and alfalfa are USDA certified organic.
In 2023 a limited number of certified organic CSA shares will be available. Bear Butte Gardens also sells their produce, eggs, and meats in the year-round farm stand store located on the farm and partners with a limited number of area restaurants/chefs to provide fresh local certified organic produce.

Bear Butte Gardens celebrates the pristine beauty of the prairie while being located at the base of the beautiful Black Hills. All produce, eggs, broilers, turkeys, and hay are USDA certified organic and grown by a certified Master Gardener. Lamb, goat, and beef are not certified organic, but are pasture-raised on certified organic pasture supplemented with certified organic hay grown on the property.
