This Farmer sees the need to bring together ALL parties concerned. If you allow myself and my family the pleasure of continued service to you and your family in order to prove a fiscally responsible, right-side up, green and sustainable business plan to my agricultural counterparts here in rural Collin County, TX, I will in return pledge to each and every one of you, to personally continue to contact and encourage any and all new, existing and transitioning agricultural producers to help build back and protect OUR local, safe and healthy food supply.
I am a small local family farmer transitioning to Certified Organic. My family has a small two (2) acre rural Collin County farm/ranch. My personal agribusiness, Squeezepenny Sustainable Farm, formed Squeezepenny CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) a socially responsible program to acknowledge our many connections between our urban, new urban and rural residents of our communities, towns and cities. With an economic social justice emphasis on the small and medium sized American Family farms/ranches/agricultural production as well as to the mutual benefit of all parties involved.
Summer 2009 we began by accepting Charter Members to Squeezepenny CSA and now have more than tripled in size. Thus allowing us to offer to our subscribing Squeezepenny CSA Members an even bigger and better chance to make a lasting difference in the future of our own local, safe and healthy food supply.
We are now accepting new Members for 2015. We offer a 10-week Plan, containing five (5) bi-weekly pick-up/distributions. We would expect to be able to offer to include you and your family in our bi-weekly distribution schedule in approx. 12 weeks. Sometimes as soon as 4,6 or 8 weeks if a current member requests to reschedule.
I understand that weather and crops cannot be predicted, but ignoring your customers is not right. Penny was a nice lady and very helpful. Yet, when the deliveries stopped, my emails & calls were ignored, I felt a little ripped off.... [more]
I paid for a membership and shares and never receive anything. Moreover, every email and phone call was ignored. I finally had to file a complaint with the BBB. Honestly, I am completely disgusted. I was trying to do a good thing and was taken advantage of. I feel I have been robbed.
Our 10-wk plans offer year round support to our local area's Farmers, Ranchers and Producers. Reaching out to connect with our current suppliers of fresh, healthy, Texas Agricultural products. Not to mention sprouting new producers along the way. Possible 2015 Drop Sites: Allen, Fairview, Frisco, Garland, McKinney, Melissa, Murphy, Plano, Richardson & Squeezepenny, TX. Reducing Collin County's Carbon Footprint our focus on food safety, security and local availability. Care to give it a go?
