Northside Farmers Market

The Northside Farmers Market has been providing fresh produce from local farmers to the Youngstown area since 2003. There is a Lake-to-River Coop Grocery Store open Monday to Friday 11:00 - 4:00 esdays and a farmstand-type market Thursdays to complement the Saturday market only 10:00 - 1:00. Lake to River Food Coop grocery store inside Cultivate Cafe.

A large and varied assortment of fruits and vegetables is available with some of the produce organic. . Local artists sell jewelry, t-shirts and other treasures. Salsas, homemade breads and other prepared foods are available from the Lake-to-River Food Hub Kitchen Incubator. Musicians, poets and sideshow performers have entertained at the market.

We accept WIC coupons and Senior Farmers' market coupons, We accept the Ohio Direction Card SNAP (food assistance benefits EBT card) and offer 3 bonus tokens with purchase of ten. This will enable low-income, food benefits recipients to have access to healthy, local foods available at the market.

Also this year, in partnership with A.C.T.I.O.N. and Grow Youngstown, local chefs, hobby cooks, & dietitians will conduct food preparation demonstration classes throughout the market season. They will feature recipes made from local, healthy produce and other food available at the market that week. Participants who are in need may receive free cooking utensils. Local groups will be organizing transportation to these events from various locations throughout the Mahoning Valley.
