Wayne County Farmers Market is a grower/producer market operating rain or shine, every Saturday from Memorial Day weekend through the end of October. Many farmers at this market use organic practices or natural growing methods. In addition to a wide variety of locally grown vegetables, fruits and herbs, shoppers will also find heirlooms and other vegetables not often seen in grocery stores such as kohlrabi, heirloom tomatoes, yellow and chioggia beets, garlic scapes and more. Home gardeners can purchase potted and bedding plants and flowers, or if gardening isn't your forte, freshly cut flowers and floral arrangements are available too. Customers will find local pasture raised chicken and pork, free-range eggs, homemade jams, jellies, relishes, mustards and pickles, home-baked breads, cookies, cobblers, pies, specialty cupcakes, and other baked goods, fudge and candy, maple syrup and maple products, and local raw honey and beeswax products. We also have talented artisans creating items such as fine art oil paintings, hand made soaps, lotions, scrubs, body and lip balms made from all natural ingredients, and a wide variety of hemp products such as pre-rolls, teas, extracts, oils and salves.
