We began our farmstead in 2010 when we married. Now with our four young children, End of the Road Farm is diverse, draft horse powered sustainable organic farm. We specialize in sweet sorghum syrup, 100% grassfed and finished beef, pastured eggs, chicken and pork, and 50 varieties of open-pollinated, heirloom vegetables. We prefer to grow items with an interesting story or "unique" look, such as our Grandpa's Ugly Tomatoes. We also offer a herdshare program.
Refusing to use any synthetic pesticides, herbicides, chemical fertilizers, or GMOs, we believe our impact on the land is as important as providing
our customers and selves the best possible quality products, taking our Certified Naturally Grown status very seriously. We cultivate 20 of our 21 acres, and rely heavily on cover crops, a six-year crop rotation plan, companion plantings, intensive grazing, mechanical cultivation with our draft horses, and good old fashioned hand weeding and hoeing.
Growing the feed for our pastured, heritage breed livestock, saving the majority of our own seed, squeezing and cooking down the sorghum or grinding
the spelt that we have grown right on our farm make End of the Road Farm not only unique, but almost 100% self-sufficient, and we thrive on sharing the results of our labors with our customers.
