We're now in our ninth year of production on two acres of Cheshire town-owned land. We adhere to the stringent growing and environmental standards contained in the CTNOFA Farmer's Pledge. We are offering 50 full CSA shares in 2018. Members pick up their share every other week (ie 8 times over the season) from early June until late October. We provide a wide variety of our own vegetables as well as ecologically grown fruit from High Hill Orchard in Meriden. CSA members are asked to contribute a few hours of work during the season (eg harvest and prep, weeding, fence mending, administrative tasks) and a small number of work- intensive shares will be available. A limited number of no-work shares are also available at an additional cost. Boulder Knoll Community Farm is an educational farm. Our environmental educator works with children, youth and adults to facilitate learning about flora and fauna on and around the farm, growing practices, and harvesting and preparing nutritious food. We welcome inquiries about field trips and other learning opportunities. We hold several fun community events during the year including work day/ potlucks and special fundraising farm dinners. We serve restaurant clients and donate a significant amount of food to the CT Food Bank and local soup kitchens.
