The Boyertown Farmers Market, located in Berks County, will begin our 2011 season on June 4th. Located in the parking lot of the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles, across from Cumberland Farms on Route 562 (S. Reading Avenue). The market operates year round every Saturday, Rain or Shine, from 10 AM to 1 PM, June through October and then once a month 10am till 11:30am, November through May. All farmers are the original grower/producer of the products they sell. A rich and diverse market, it offers local fruits and vegetables, poultry, beef, lamb and fish, cheese and dairy products, and assorted baked goods--with more delicious items being added every day. Many of the farmers are certified organic or practice organic techniques. Several farmers raise and sell heritage chickens, turkeys and beef. All livestock is treated humanely: no antibiotics, free-range and pasture raised. The market invites crafters and artists to showcase their talents each week and The Kid's Korner, provides a safe, fun place for kids and their parents to relax and play. In addition to weekly entertainment the market has many special events scheduled throughout the season (see below). For further details on these events and weekly updates, visit our website and join our weekly newsletter. FMNP, SMNP vouches accepted at authorized vendor tents. Food Stamps now accepted at the market!
