The Western Wake Farmers' Market is a year round market that offers a friendly, community-oriented place to shop for healthy, local food. We provide a family-friendly atmosphere where people of all ages in the community can shop for great food and get to know their farmers. The market features a guest educator or guest chef each week (topics include cooking local, canning, gardening, solar energy, sustainability and more) and live music.
Western Wake Farmers' Market offers a wide variety of produce, including heirloom vegetables, fruits, beef, chicken, pork, lamb, seafood, free range eggs, cheese, honey, baked goods, coffee, prepared foods and some crafts.

It is close to me. It was designed by the consumers and offers a wide variety of choices. The location is accessible with plenty of parking. For a market in its first year, it started with a bang.
It is just the right size, plenty of easy parking, nice live music, nice variety of meat, bakery, seafood, produce. Everything is local, organic. Vendors are happy to answer questions. Free samples from Herons restaurant are a nice bonus.
I love to support the local farmers. Everything I've gotten has been incredible fresh and flavorful.
