Liberty Prairie (formerly Prairie Wind Family Farm)

Liberty Prairie and Prairie Wind Family Farm have joined forces under the name Liberty Prairie to grow their shared community impact further than they could as individual organizations. In addition to combining into one organization and one CSA program, Prairie Wind's farmstand grew and relocated a farm store to nearby Prairie Crossing Station Shops, in Grayslake.

We grow a wide variety of certified organic vegetables and work with partner farms to raise hens on pasture for eggs and provide fresh, locally-grown fruit to our CSA members. Our farm lies within the heart of Prairie Crossing, a conservation community in Grayslake, Illinois. Throughout our years of farming, we've earned a reputation for quality, consistency and reliability. We continue to provide the healthy, local food and friendly service that our members have come to know and enjoy.

Our CSA program allows members a direct connection to our farm, land, animals and to us, the family who grows your food. With nearly two decades of farming experience, we're known for growing for well-balanced and varied farm CSA shares.

Our members enjoy our online farm newsletter which includes updates from the farm, cooking and storage tips, and recipes using the products from CSA shares. We also offer seasonal events to CSA members to enjoy the farm and meet our farmers.

CSA shares are available at one of our convenient community pickup sites in the northern and western suburbs of Chicago. Signing up online is easy, and our flexible payment plans allow you to make payments over the course of the season rather than all at once.
