The open-air Certified Farmers Market at Palm Desert is set to open on Wednesday September 29th 2010 , morning from 8 am to 12:30 pm! This starts our 2010-2011 season We bring local farmers and vendors together to showcase the fruits of their labor for you. A Certified Farmers Market is approved and certified by the California Department of Food and Agriculture. The farmers and vendors are regionally-based -- most within 100 miles of the Coachella Valley -- so the food is incredibly fresh. We offer fresh vegetables and fruit (organic, transitional, and no-spray), herbs, lavender, cheese, bread, honey, nuts, cage-free eggs, olives and olive oil, cut flowers, orchids and plants. The CFM is a gathering place where the community can socialize and learn about nutrition, fresh produce and sustainable practices.
