The Foodworks Department at the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies is seeking passionate, goal-oriented cooks for our 2013 season! We have cook and first cook openings. The Omega Institute for Holistic Studies is a well-established, nonprofit center for lifelong learning, offering workshops, professional trainings, and wellness vacations. Each year, we hire seasonal staff members between April and November, to help serve over 23,000 guests. Our seasonal staff members enjoy room and board, access to staff classes and events, a small stipend, and opportunities to cultivate their passions. Omega Foodworks produces three, primarily vegetarian meals each day for between 500 and 1200 guests and staff. The ideal First Cook has several years of cooking experience, a good attitude and the ability to communicate well. The ideal Cook has some cooking experience, well, organized, a good attitude and a strong desire to learn. Further, candidates should demonstrate excellent leadership skills, a strong propensity for communication, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well in a team and live in community.
