We are a producer-only farmers' market that supplies the Mount Pleasant neighborhood with local fruit, vegetables, meat, dairy, bread, cakes, flowers, plants, and prepared foods. Some of our producers are certified organic or use chemical-free methods, and the meat & dairy is free-range. Our producers are all located in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed within 125 miles of Washington, DC. We are open every Saturday from 9am-1pm on the Mount Pleasant Plaza at the corner of 17th & Lamont Sts, NW, Washington, DC. The market runs year-round.
The produce is wonderful and just a two-block walk from home. I have small children who really like the fresh produce we are able to buy at the local neighborhood market.

I like to support independent farmers. Many of the farmers who sell their goods at the market are family run farms. They sell great food/flowers.

We live in AM now, but we still make the walk up to MtP. Accessibility, great neighborhood, quality vendors, live entertainment. We do, however miss Cibola Farms @ this market. It may not be the biggest market, but we think it's the BEST.
Also on the Plaza, Zero Waste DC offers a staffed Food Waste Drop-off Site that will collect your food waste for composting, and the volunteers at the Mount Pleasant Bike Clinic will help you get your bicycle in safe riding condition. The Friends of the Mount Pleasant Library also has a weekly book sale next to the Plaza. Other community organizations pop-up from time to time.
