We are an urban mini-farm located in the beautiful east bay hills of San Francisco, in El Sobrante. We use French intensive gardening practices, and we are organic certified by CCOF. In addition to the listed fruits and vegetables, we offer quinoa, amaranth, apple mint, chocolate mint, and fresh rau ram (aka laksa, or vietnamese mint) and methi (aka fenugreek). We pride ourselves on growing open-pollinated heritage breeds of grains, beans, herbs, flowers, fruits, and vegetables. Purchases of ship-able items can be made on our website. We open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoons for u-picking.

Our vegetables, strawberries, and rhubarb are grown in composted double-dug beds, using hand tools and hand watering. The grapevines and orchard are on a drip system, grown with a diverse cover crop. No chemical fertilizers or pesticides are used. Soil fertility and plant health are maintained by promoting abundant soil life and organic matter, and using companion planting and crop rotations.

Locally-grown certified organic fruits, herbs, flowers, grains, and vegetables available seasonally. We grow many heirloom, open-pollinated crops. Our fresh produce has flavors and textures that can only be found by picking them fresh from an organic farm. We have an online store at our farm website.

We have public u-pick hours every Fri, Sat, & Sunday afternoons, weather permitting. Bring a grocery bag and purchase directly from the garden. We accept cash, credit cards, and Paypal for onsite purchase.

Schedule and Location:

Open for picking on Fri, Sat and Sun afternoons. If the farm gate is open we welcome you to come visit. Please email cloverfield@gmail.com or call 510-253-8859 (Michael) to arrange a possible alternative time to pick what you would like....vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers available seasonably and for reasonable prices. Availability depends on what's growing at the time. Pay by the item or by a mixed bag. A good bunch of one item is $5, and if you pick out about 7 items (that is typically enough to fill a grocery bag) the price is $30. Private tours and picnics can be made on our website.

We can deliver bulk amounts of fresh produce to local restaurants and food processors. Examples of what we can seasonally supply are sunchokes, potatoes, pickling cucumbers, fava beans, wild blackberries, chocolate mint, apple mint, and lavender. Please inquire if you are interested.
