GFGP functions as an aggregator for dozens fresh produce farms in the New River and Roanoke Valleys, as well as for many producers of other high-quality farm-origin foods. Our suppliers custom-harvest fresh veggies and fruits within 48 hours of delivery to our CSA sharers, three major area farmers markets, restaurants, retail stores and institutions in Roanoke, Salem, Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Radford and Floyd VA. Certified organic or biologically-grown vegetable sources are prioritized; unsprayed and low-spray fruit sources are preferred whenever possible. GFGP operates on a consistent schedule year round, highlighting greenhouse and hydroponic crops throughout the winter season, as well as a full slate of field and season-extension crops in peak growing season. All products are sourced from growers we know and trust within 100 miles of our Floyd home-base. GFGP helps incubate small food producers by distributing their wholesome prepared and processed foods in all our venues.
