The Farmers Market at Midway

A brief introduction to The Farmers Market at Midway. We are conveniently located in Florida's Lake Region about halfway between Melrose and Keystone Heights. The Market is on the grounds of Faith Presbyterian Church, at the intersection of State Route 21 and County Road 21B, across from the Midway Plaza. It is held every Saturday from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM, the whole year around. The Market started in the Summer of 2014 as a venue for a group of vendors when their home markets shut down for the Summer. The experience was so positive, the Vendors decided to make the location their year around home. The Midway Market is a totally Vendor-run Non-Profit Market. The goal is to maintain a safe, pleasant shopping environment where both the Vendor and the Customer can enjoy each others company while learning about living a more healthy and sustainable life. Our Vendors are drawn from mostly Melrose and Keystone but some come from as far away as Gainesville and Green Cove Springs. We offer fine homemade confections and pies, delicious pastries, baked goods like Mom used to make, Veggies so fresh and beautiful they look like a painting. Orders are taken for fresh lamb and roasting chickens. Watercolors and prints of the local area are available along with photography, jewelry and needle craft items. Indoor and outdoor plants are ready for your green thumbs. A special craftsman recycles junk and yard sale stuff into amazing yard art and lawn furniture. Other vendors featuring eggs, live animals, teas, soaps, dried fruits and nuts, breads and seasonal fruits and vegetables round out the Vendor selection. The Midway Market is heavily shaded which will come in handy when the Florida hot gets going. And, we are very dog friendly as long as Fido is on a leash. Handicapped restrooms, a fenced playground and convenient, off street parking are some of the other conveniences of the Market. We are slowly adding new offerings, but will always work hard to meet your needs whether it be as a customer or a vendor. We invite you to join us on a Saturday Morning.
