Åctively seeking local market gardeners and farmers. We have the highest number of actual farmers of any market locally, but are searching for the odd, little, unusual small or large grower. Our minimum fee for farmers is $2 (two dollars), the average minimum at other markets averages about $35. We are the longest running certified farmers market in San Diego county and host over 60 farmers and fishers, over 40 foodmakers, and a handful of artisans. The market is at the County Courthouse 325 S. Melrose Drive just South of Highway 78.

The Vista Farmers Market remains open, every Saturday, through the COVID-19, and all weather. The Vista markets is the longest running farmers market in the county -- 52 local farmers, 34 local foodmakers, and artisans with a wide variety of farm produce and locally made useful items. Lowest fees for farmers in the county, an ever-evolving collection of local farmers, makers, musicians, entrepreneurs, and others.
As of January 2025 we are the most plastic-free farmers market in the United States. There are some current exemptions, but all the easy to replace plastic items are now gone . . . berry baskets, plastic bags, cups, and much more.
We now have local fish sold by fishermen, and local wheat! The wheat is grown and processed in San Diego county, for the first time in over 100 years.
