The Sheepnose Pimiento is a watery chile pepper with a rich meaty flavor. An Ohio heirloom plant, the pepper is filled with a mild, tangy flavor and rates at 0 on a 1-5 heat scale. The Sheepnose Pimiento is generally used for canning and cooking.

At Balanced Harvest Farm, located in Carmel, we're offering a 15 week CSA Program in 2010. Distributions will begin the week of June 14th. We offer a seasonal array of herbs & vegetables from Arugula to Zucchini. Members may choose our Standard Harvest Share or our Culinarian Harvest Share. Everything we sell, we grow. It's all locally produced by our family and picked fresh daily.

We are a small-scale diversified mixed produce farm certified organic by Oregon Tilth. We grow a wide range of vegetables and fresh herbs all from seed we start here on the farm.We grow many heirloom varieties. Shares in our 20 week summer C.S.A. are offered beginning in Feb. of each year and shares in our 7 week winter C.S.A. in early Oct. We also sell at the Bank St. Farmer's Market, to a couple great restaurants and the People's Food Co-op.

Our small farm is located in the southwest region of Montana. Our family of four is working hard to live in harmony with nature as we seek to encourage others to eat both seasonally and locally. All of our garden produce is grown beyond the organic principles. We make herbal tea blends and are moving into prepared foods for farmer's market this year. It is our goal to use heritage breeds of livestock and heirloom seeds as much as we are able.
