The Ferry Building is one of the most easily accessed locations in the Bay Area. There are many public transit and biking options, along with parking options. We encourage shoppers to walk, bike, or take public transit to spare the air.
Public Transit
You can reach the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market by all San Francisco BART lines, numerous MUNI lines, the F Market Streetcar, the California Street Cable Car line, and several ferry lines. From the Peninsula, ride Caltrain and connect with MUNI's N-Judah. Plan your trip with detailed Bay Area transit information, maps, and schedules at 511.org/transit.
Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART): The Embarcadero BART Station is just one block away on Market Street, between Drumm Street and Beale Street. It is served by all BART lines that go to San Francisco (red, yellow, green, and blue lines). For schedules, go to bart.gov.
San Francisco Municipal Railway (MUNI): Many buses, trains, and streetcars all stop at or near the Ferry Building. Nearby MUNI stops include the 1, 2, 6, 9, 14,14R, F, and N bus and rail lines. Plan your trip at 511.org/transit.
Ferry: Terminals for Sausalito, Oakland, Alameda, and Larkspur ferries are behind the Ferry Building. For schedules, visit sanfranciscobayferry.com.
Biking
With a large two-way bike lane, the Embarcadero is easily accessed by bicycle. Bike racks are located in front of and behind the building. We recommend that you use a sturdy U-lock, as there have been incidents of cable-clipping. For bike lane maps and cycling information, go to sfbike.org.
Driving and Parking
For driving directions, visit Google Maps. There are a number of affordable parking options within a couple blocks of the Ferry Building. For details and the latest info, please visit: https://foodwise.org/markets/ferry-plaza-farmers-market/visitor-info/
