The German Pink tomato is a Bavarian variety that is currently grown in Festina, Iowa. The plants produce large 1-2 pound meaty fruits with few seeds. The German Pink has a full sweet flavor, even floral, and a tender skin. The tomato is an extremely versatile fruit, as it is excellent for canning and freezing but also slicing and juicing.
Yellow Wolf Farm is a small, diversified farm located in Walkertown, right outside Winston-Salem, NC. We sell naturally raised meats, eggs, goat milk soaps and lotions . We do not use antibiotics, medicated feeds or hormones on our animals that produce our meat, eggs and milk. Our cattle, sheep and goats are completely grass-fed and finished. Our hogs, rabbits and poultry are on pasture and also get alfalfa and whole organic grains/no soy/no GMO.
We are a small, family farm dedicated to hanging onto and bringing back "heritage breeds" of livestock. We use The Livestock Conservancy to assist us in selecting with breeds to keep, along with our own research. Winona Farms From March thru September, all sorts of herb and vegetable starts will be available. Specialties are rare peppers, heirloom tomatoes, expansive selection of herbs - particularly of basil. Additionally, lettuce, brassicas, onions, strawberries, tomatillos, eggplants, and beneficial flowers. What started as a lark to grow some interesting peppers and tomatoes grew into a business as I sold the extra plants on Craigslist.
Wings of Dawn Farm is a small family owned and operated farm in southwest Alamance County. We are committed to being a source for healthy local food. Our fields, pastures and animals are free of chemicals. We use chickens, guinea fowl and goats to control insects and weeds. Our heritage breed chickens eat a locally milled organic feed as well as their choice of bugs, grasses and other forage. The eggs from these pastured hens are exceptional in color and flavor.
