As a hardy, docile, broody and excellent producer of both meat and eggs, which it lays year-round, the Plymouth Rock Chicken is a quintessential American breed. This bird was developed in the mid-19th century as a dual-purpose chicken. The chicken has yellow skin and lays eggs that are varying shades of brown. The Plymouth Rock was probably developed in Massachusetts, hence its name, but until World War II, the Plymouth Rock chicken was not known in the US. We are a small family poultry farm. We have guineas, 5 breeds of chickens, and 2 breeds of turkeys. We hatch our own eggs and raise all our own birds. We sell farm fresh brown eggs all year long. Our chickens consist of 3 heritage breeds: Delawares, Buckeyes, and Barred Rocks; also Buff Orpingtons (an English breed) and Araucanas (the "Easter egg chickens"). We also raise and sell our Narragansett turkeys (a heritage breed) for the Thanksgiving holiday.

We are a small family farm dedicated to raising natural heritage breeds of livestock and crops. We do not feed or administer any antibiotics, hormones, chemicals, etc. All our animals are raised in a natural environment free of pesticides and herbicides.

We run this small operation ourselves and raise Boer goats for meat and show, chickens, vegetables and fruits as naturally as possible. We love the variety of heirloom seeds that are available from all over the world. This year we have over 15 varieties of melons, more than 18 varieties of heirloom tomatoes along with 5 varieties of potatoes and 6 kinds of onions. We love variety! Neighbors have been buying our produce, meat and eggs since we moved to this location.

At Antiquity Oaks, we specialize in raising heritage breeds of livestock naturally. We raise pastured chickens and free-range heritage turkeys, as well as grass-fed, heritage pork and lamb. We have Nigerian dwarf goats and use their milk to make luxurious soap. We also have a small garden where we grow heirloom vegetables without the use of chemical pesticides and fertilizers.
