Academy Street Gardens is located within the coastal village of Oriental,NC We are growing 25-30 varieties of heirloom and open-pollinated vegetables and herbs throughout the seasons. This year we are also participating in the Ark of Taste through Slow Food USA. We practice sustainable agriculture methods and follow NOP standards ( although not certified ). We are growing naturally and educating the public on the benefits of eating locally grown food.

Our fledgling farm is nestled in a wooded holler through which Bullard Creek runs through. We have a pastured laying flock of hens, heritage turkeys, and heirloom veggies in our no-till, organically grown market patch. Look for Spence and Carla at the West Fork Farmers market.
